5 Events You Need to Check Out This Weekend!

It’s Wednesday and time again to check out the very best events happening in your city this weekend and beyond. We know you’re just itching to start planning an eventful weekend so lets get started! Here are 5 events you need to check out this weekend!

1. Impi Challenge 2015 – Cape Town (Win!)

Ok, this one isn’t exactly happening this weekend, it takes place on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th April but entries are open and selling out fast! If you’ve never taken part in an Impi Challenge before then you need to add this to your bucket list. The fun-filled event sees challengers take part in a 10 km trail run with 18 obstacles along the way. It’s loads of fun and can be done in teams or on your own. This year’s challenge takes place at Lievland Wine Estate and Wiesenhof Legacy Park (Stellenbosch). Entries are R400 per person for the Impi Challenge.

2. Screening of Empire Records at the Sheds @ Fox1 – Johannesburg

Join Luna Films at The Sheds @Fox1 for a screening of the cult classic, Empire Records. This Friday, 27 March Luna Films will set up a screening during the night market and allow movie-goers to catch this classic movie while enjoying eats and treats from the market vendors. Doors open at 18:00 and the movie starts at 20:00. Tickets are R100 per person and includes the film screening, lots of popcorn and a chair.

3. Stellenbosch Slow Market – Stellenbsoch, Western Cape

Head to the Oude Libertas Amphitheater in Stellenbosch this Saturday 28 March for the popular Stellenbosch Slow Market. Market goers can expect fresh goods and gourmet produce from high-quality specialty producers, food artisans, local and regional farmers, and natural and organic merchants. The market takes place every Saturday from 09:00 – 14:00 and entrance is free.

4. Waterford Wine Pairing Lunch – Maropeng, Gauteng
