While there’s tons of apps out there, there’s a handful that have changed the way we run our day-to-day lives. From calling a taxi to requesting a service, everything is done through our smartphones; but which apps are the go-to picks in their respective fields? We take a look the top 5 must-have apps that every gal needs on her phone.

Pocket (content saving)
You know when you’re on the go and scroll past an article you want to read but don’t have the time to? Pocket is one of the best article-saving apps out there. It has a no-frills interface and easy-to-use mobile and desktop bookmark tools and browser extensions for saving everything you don’t (and maybe never will) have time to read. All you need to do is hold down on the article link and a “Pocket” button will appear, allowing you to save the article to your offline Pocket account, which can be accessed via the mobile app or on desktop. Now, if we could just get it to order Chai Lattes at the press of a button, life would be complete.
Google Now (personal assistance)
Google Now is arguably the most powerful personal assistant software available. It first debuted a few years ago and has since grown into an always-on personal assistant that can set alarms for you (seriously, try it), tell you the weather, give you news articles about your relevant interests, manage things like plane flight information, and give you access to quick information via voice searching. Sure, when you first start using this app it’s scary to realise just how much Google knows about you but, just like Pringles, once you pop you can’t stop! Life is just so much easier with Google Now in your life!
Download on Android.
