Fans of Elizabeth Arden’s Legendary 8-Hour Cream Will Adore This New Product! [Review]

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist

I’ve been a big fan of Elizabeth Arden’s Legendary Eight Hour Cream for as long as I can remember. Long acclaimed for its intense moisturising and multi-tasking properties it’s one of those products your mum shares with you when you’re a teenager and you continue to use for the rest of your life. It’s that good. If you’ve never experienced the joy of this incredible product before then I’m not quite sure what rock you’ve been living under but there’s no doubt it was a lonely one. And, now continuing this legacy, Elizabeth Arden has introduced a sibling to its much-loved wonder product – the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist. This instantly invigorating facial spray hydrates, soothes and refreshes skin with just one spritz and will soon become the first thing you pack into your beauty bag when travelling.

If you don’t already travel with a hydrating mist then now is the time to start. When flying I always make sure I have a really good facial mist with me to ensure my skin looks and feels great from the moment I step on the plane up until landing. I’m not sure my skin would have survived the long-haul flight to Australia was it not for my beloved hydrating facial mist. But it’s not just for travelling, I never leave home without a hydrating mist and this one is definitely going to replace the one I currently keep in my handbag because not only is it packaged in an airline approved travel size bottle but it also works like a bomb.

The power of this super moisturising mist lies in its antioxidant-rich Superfruit Blend which includes delights like acai, goji, mangosteen, noni and pomegranate fruit extract along with coffee seed. This blend of good-for-you ingredients helps to provide protection from the elements while the addition of apple leaf extract offers soothing relief to irritated skin when you need it most. Unlike a lot of other ‘mist’ products, Elizabeth Arden’s version really is a mist. I find that a lot of hydrating sprays dispense far too much product with one gentle spritz and often I’m concerned the product is going to drench my face and ruin my makeup. Not with this product, it’s a super fine mist that won’t mess with your makeup but will still give you plenty of moisture.

And, just like its sibling, the new mist also has all sorts of uses. I’ve added it to my beauty routine, using it after cleansing morning and night and it has definitely helped to give my skin a little extra boost of moisture before applying my makeup. It’s also been super useful to keep in my handbag for hot summer days spent driving from meeting to meeting in my car. Aircon really takes a toll on my skin but it’s so necessary when you drive around as much as I do and the new Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist has proven to be a lifesaver when I need a pick-me-up rushing from meeting to meeting. It’s also a post-gym wonder – my skin always feels a little worse for wear after a workout and the mist helps to soothe my skin and put back in what my sweat session took out.

Another bonus is that the product transports you to a more zen-like place every time you use it. It’s got a beautiful scent made up of a mix of rose, bergamot and lemon water that will help to lift your spirits and make you feel like you’re at the spa with your feet up rather than in a smelly aeroplane bathroom.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist is available from selected department stores from 20 March 2017 at R350.00 for 100ml.
