Attention fitness fundis, Fitbit has announced the launch of the brand new FitBit Charge 3 in South Africa and rumour has it this new addition to the range is the brand’s best fitness tracker yet. With a fresh look and intuitive new features, designed to make your life both in and out the gym more convenient, it’s easy to see why this new gadget is right up there on everyone’s wish list this spring.

Delivering a sleek design and advanced health and fitness features, the Charge 3 boasts up to 7 days of battery life, making it perfect for the on-the-go fitness fanatic. The sleek device features an aerospace grade aluminium case fit with a high-quality protective glass OLED display touchscreen that’s almost 40 percent bigger and brighter than the previous Charge model. Switch out your look every day with a range of easy-to-attach bands, including a stain-resistant silicone classic band as well as trendy woven fabric and handcrafted leather bands, designed to suit your style and needs.

While you’re at it, take part in a little friendly competition by connecting to FitBit’s health and fitness social network and share your goals and achievements with friends and family across the globe.

Also coming soon to the device are features such as female health tracking, which allows you to gain a better understanding of your menstrual cycle to better manage your health, and go the distance with an auto pause and auto stop Run Detect feature.

But that’s not all! Perhaps one of the coolest features offered by the Charge 3 Special Edition is the ability to make easy, secure payments using just your watch! Fitbit Pay — FitBit’s new contactless payment feature is currently available to existing FNB/RMB Private Bank cardholders with Fitbit Charge 3 Special Edition devices wherever contactless payments are accepted.

The Fitbit Charge 3 is available in black with a graphite case, or blue grey with a rose gold case for R2599 while the Fitbit Charge 3 Special Edition with Fitbit Pay will set you back R3099. The Charge 3 will be available at select local retailers from October 2018.
