Sun, sea, sand…. and Goldfish Submerged Sundays, nothing epitomises summer and good times in Cape Town quite like that wicked combination. The great news is, summer is almost upon us, which means it’s time to start making plans and booking tickets for the 7th edition of Goldfish Submerged Sundays at Shimmy Beach Club!
Starting 9 December 2018 until 4 January 2019, Cape Town’s biggest summer fundays will be taking place at Shimmy Beach Club. Following their sold-out international tour, iconic local electronic duo, Goldfish, will return to the Shimmy Beach Club stage for electrifying performances that will get you on your feet. Supported by some of South Africa’s hottest DJs and artists, this is a summer celebration you don’t want to miss out on.
Made up of classically trained jazz musicians, David Poole and Dominic Peters, the Goldfish duo reinvented the meaning of electronic music by infusing house beats and jazz music, with live instruments and vocals to create vibrant, dynamic live performances. Goldfish is known and loved for their ability to switch things up by folding unique African melodies into the mix, creating a truly South African genre of house music.
Goldfish has gained a massive international and local following but they never forget about their roots and return home every December to entertain South African audiences. They’ll soon be back on home turf for Submerged Sundays, meaning you can end off the weekend with a bang during the December holidays. Those attending the weekly events can expect festival-style food, world-class production, Shimmy Beach Club’s breathtaking views of the mountain and sea, and a whole lot of fun!
Goldfish Submerged will take place on 9, 16, 23, 26 and 29 December with the grand finale on 4 January 2019. Tickets range from R150 to R300 and are available online from at Howler.
