Want to know what to expect from the new H&M Johannesburg? Of course, the answer is; “yes, yes, yes!” so keep reading because we’ve got all the details! H&M’s second South African store opened its doors to the media and VIP shoppers in Johannesburg last night, Wednesday 4 November 2015 and WomenStuff has the scoop on what you can expect in store. From fabulous fashion for men, women and children to homeware, workout gear and more the new H&M Joburg store at the Sandton City is a winner of note! With 2700 square meters of fabulous fashion and absolute shopping pleasure, this new store is set become a regular hot spot for fashionitas over the coming weeks. From prices and stock here’s what you can expect in store at H&M Johannesburg.
When you first walk into H&M Johannesburg you’re struck by just how glitzy it is and how much fashion there is to consume. The women’s wear section includes everything from casual wear (such as jeans, T-shirts, tank tops, skirts, fabulous flats, swimwear and more) to more formal attire including cocktail dresses and office wear. There’s also a lingerie and sleepwear section offering gorgeously affordable intimates from as little as R129! The accessories and footwear section is chockfull of fabulous high heels, flats, handbags, costume jewelry, sunglasses and more.
Ok, so let’s talk prices! I thought that H&M was going to do the same thing as Forever 21 and come in with insanely high prices that make you sweat and cry at the same time but no, the prices are actually very competitive. Obviously it depends on what you buy but there are some great bargains in store! I found a few super cute tank top style blouses at just R149 each, summer dresses at R149, short-shorts and T-shirts at R149 each, jeans at R229 and bras with matching panties at just R129 and R49 respectively.
Of course, there are few pricier things in store and you can look at paying an average of R299 for blouses and shirts, R399 for cocktail dresses, R299 for sweaters, between R399 and R599 for jackets, R229 for handbags from, R299 for high heels, R299 for swimwear, and R229 for sportbras. Of course, the highlight of the evening was also the reveal of the exclusive HM x Balmaination Collection that launches globally today, Thursday 5 November 2015!
The collection is H&M’s latest collaboration and sees Swedish fashion retailer team up with the Parisian fashion house, Balmain. It’s one of the most highly anticipated retail collections of the year and we’re beyond excited the collection is available to South Africans as well. The collection will feature clothing and accessories for both women and men and is set to sell out fast so make sure you get down to your nearest H&M if you want to get your hands on something.
