H&M Announce Its Next Collaboration Will Be With ERDEM

H&M Erdem

There are very few things that could lure us out of bed at 3am, but H&M’s latest collaboration announcement definitely makes the list. Yes indeed, H&M has just revealed its big secret: London-based Erdem Moralioglu is the latest name to design a collection for the store. And who better to team up with to do the reveal than legendary filmmaker Baz Luhrmann?

Exclusively for H&M, ERDEM has created a limited edition range for both men and women. This will be the first time ever that a men’s range has been created by ERDEM. And, from what we can see in the campaign teaser video, this will be quite the collection. Erdem is known for his romantic, feminine silhouettes and delicate floral prints and with this collection, it looks as though fans of the brand will be able to get both! Showstopper dresses are always the highlight of his catwalk shows so we can only hope that there will be a must-have gown or two included in the mix.

H&M Erdem

The highly-anticipated ERDEM x H&M range will reflect the designer’s most celebrated collections, reinterpret them by playing with prints and textiles, yet remain true to the craftsmanship and attention to detail that has made his work loved by celebrities and fashionistas alike.

Erdem Moralioglu is half-Turkish, half-British and grew up in Montreal, Canada. He has worked with Vivienne Westwood and with Diane von Furstenberg before starting ERDEM in London.  Of his latest venture, Erdem says “I am so happy to collaborate with H&M, and to explore my work on a whole new scale including a menswear collection which I have never done before. It’s also such a thrill to work with Baz Luhrmann, one of the most important storytellers of our time”.

The ERDEM x H&M collection will launch at selected H&M stores and online from 2 November 2017.
