Capetonians get excited because a brand new fitness craze has hit your city! Jump Around, a new spring-loaded urban playground for free jumping opened its door at the beginning of August and we’ve got all the details on this super fun gym space for kids and adults alike. Free jumping is the latest in fun fitness and offers a range of different types of exercises for everyone to enjoy. Keep reading to find out where the new trampoline park in Cape Town is based and why you should be trying this ultra cool new exercise!
At Jump Around hard surfaces are replaced with circus-grade sponge and spring and bouncers are encouraged to get active and have loads of fun while they’re at it. At this unique gym, the wall becomes the floor and every surface is reachable – it’s a world where a slam-dunk is within your grasp and the rules of gravity no longer apply. Jump Around promises visitors a space that is jam-packed with things to do – whether you are a kid or an adult. The trampoline park takes the rush of being airborne and adds a bunch of new dimensions – from aerial manoeuvres and slam dunking to wall running and dodgeball warfare there’s lots to get you sweating it out.
The WomenStuff team can’t wait to check out this new spot and with more than 50 interconnected trampolines housed within the huge, colourful space it is sure to be nothing short of an epic experience. We love the idea that bouncing can be as easy or as challenging as you like – the space serves as a training ground for aerial sports acrobatics, a fun place to play with the kids, or just a hard-core form of exercise that lets you burn energy without noticing you’re in the middle of a cardio workout.
Head to the Free Jump area to practice your parkour or your acrobatics, get more comfortable with your jumps while launching yourself into the super cushy foam pit, play around in the soccer arena, live your dream of being a basketball star in the Basketball area, or get competitive in the Dodge Ball arena. And, if you’re not quite sure where to start then chat to one of their friendly staff members who will offer you plenty of safety tips and show you a few moves while they’re at it.
Jump Around will also offer super fun Jump Fit classes with a more structured exercise regime for those who want guidelines while they’re at the trampoline park in Cape Town. The classes offer high-intensity, low-impact cardio workouts with all the benefits of free jumping. And, for the little ones there is Junior Jumpers – a dedicated session for little ones between the ages of 3 and 5. The sessions take place from 8:00 – 13:00 on weekends and during school or public holidays.
The new space can be found at Unit 3 Table Bay Industrial Business Park, Milner Street (off Marine Drive R27), Paarden Eland, Cape Town. Bookings can be done through the Jump Around website and jumping is priced at R100 per person for an hour of jump time (including non-slip Jump Around socks), R80 per person for an hour of jump time (if you already own non-slip Jump Around socks), R180 per person for 2 hours of jump time (including non-slip Jump Around socks), or R150 for 2 hours of jump time (if you already own non-slip Jump Around socks).
