If you love a good Rosé then listen up because the top 10, very best Rosé wines in South Africa have just been announced! South Africa’s top Rosé wines were announced at the Rosé Rocks Wine competition awards ceremony last night (Wed 30 September 2015) at The Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront Cape Town and we’ve got all the winners’ details!
Over 160 wines were entered into the competition and tasted blind with no indication of vintage, wine farm or technical analysis. The judging panel, included wine expert, Allan Mullins, Neil Pendock (wine writer and judge with over 30 years’ experience), Marthelize Tredoux (a seasoned writer for winemag.co.za and winner of the 2013 Veritas Young Wine Writer award), Tinashe Nyamudoka (head Sommelier and beverage manager at The Test Kitchen), Praisy Dlamini (accomplished winemaker and the first woman Cape Winemakers Guild Protégé – 2008), and Malu Lambert (established freelance food and wine journalist).

This is the Rose that you should be drinking in volumes this summer! A light Salmon coloured Rosé with strawberry, melon and subtle spice notes on the nose, followed by fruit punch flavours on the palate.
