Gin and music lovers rejoice, there’s a new local craft gin in town courtesy of South Africa’s favourite foodie and musician, J’Something. The muso’s latest venture, Jin Gin, is sure to tempt gin lovers looking for something a little bit different this festive season.

To launch this exciting new product, J’Something has teamed up with Beverage Emporium and local craft gin pros, Craft Link, to bring you a range of three spirits with punchy, unique flavours. Inspired by its creator’s Portuguese and South African heritage, Jin Gin is available in three variants: Rooibos, Orange & Honey; Tomato & Sweet Piquante Peppers; and Honey & Olives.

Jin Gin

Each flavour merges J’Something’s passion for food with music with each gin telling its own individual story. Orange, Rooibos and Honey is a contemporary spirit with distinct rooibos and honey notes and a subtle caramel finish. The Tomato and Sweet Piquante Pepper is a twist on the classic London dry gin with savoury notes from tomato and sweet peppers, and subtle fruity hints. The Olive and Honey gin is inspired by Mediterranean flavours with fresh, green notes followed by soft, lingering olive and honey.
The team behind Jin Gin has also come up with some mouthwatering recipes to accompany your G&T as J’Something believes food and gin can complement each other perfectly.
Jin Gin is available from selected Pick n Pay and Ultra Bottle Stores at a recommended retail price of R390. For more information and to check out the recipes visit the Jin Gin website.
