ROG Xbox Ally Launches in South Africa: Details Here
Asus has confirmed that both ROG Ally Xbox edition models are now officially available in stores and online in South Africa.
The Xbox Ally is a handheld gaming PC co-developed by Asus ROG and Microsoft. It merges full Windows functionality with a streamlined Xbox interface, enabling gamers to run Xbox Game Pass games, PC libraries, and cloud streaming, all in one portable device.
The ‘standard’ Xbox version of the Ally includes an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, AMD RDNA 3 GPU, a 120Hz 7-inch FHD touchscreen, a 512 SSD, 16 GBs of LPDDR5 RAM, and a 40 watt-hour battery. It comes in at R12,999.
There is a beefed-up Xbox Ally X, which has similar specs to the standard Ally, but includes an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, 24 GBs of RAM, a bigger battery (80Wh) and a 1TB hard drive. Xbox Ally X is priced at R18,999.
The first Asus ROG Ally launched in SA a while back to some good fanfare. We reviewed it and still use it on a daily basis in the MenStuff HQ.
