Chicago The Musical Returns to SA
After a string of sold out shows and great success in South Africa, the award-winning Broadway and West End musical, Chicago is returning to SA for a new season! Featuring an incredible local cast and production team, this season’s performances of Chicago The Musical are sure to wow South African audiences in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Following the journeys of a nightclub singer, double-murderess, and charming lawyer, Chicago will wow audiences with a string of catchy, jazz-inspired songs that are sure to get your feet tapping. With show-stoppers like ‘All That Jazz’ and ‘Cell Block Tango’, this is a must-see for musical fans.
Chicago has already won six Tonys, two Oliviers, a Grammy, two Baftas and six Academy Awards and it’s coming back with a bang. This smash hit, seductive musical has sent critics and reviewers into a frenzy in the past with comments along the lines of: “This Musical is Hot a capital H. It’s so sexy that it sets temperatures soaring – even on a chilly night!” Don’t bother bringing along a coat then – chances are you won’t even feel the winter chill!
With a talented, full-South African cast and unique choreography, Chicago is definitely unmissable for theatre fans. Chicago The Musical will be showing at Cape Town’s Artscape Theatre from 15 March 2018 until 14 April 2019 and thereafter, from 20 April to 26 May at Montecasino in Johannesburg.
