Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Are Coming to South Africa!

Well this is the best news we’ve heard all week; Krispy Kreme will be making its way to South Africa super soon! We know, we know; “yet another foreign takeaway joint what’s so exciting about that?” But if you’ve ever tasted a Krispy Kreme Doughnut then you will understand how exciting this is.We’re super afraid of what the arrival of this deliciousness means for our waistlines but otherwise it’s great news all round.

So why is this so exciting? Well, with all the other foreign fast food joints that have made their way to SA we already had something similar and just as good, if not better (Burger King – cough ever heard of Steers?) but we don’t have anything that truly measures up to the deliciousness and footprint of Krispy Kreme.

The global doughnut company and coffee retailer plans to open 31 shops in the country over next five years and has signed a deal with KK Doughnuts SA to bring Krispy Kreme to South Africa. If you have no idea who KK Doughnuts SA is; it is owned by John & Gerry’s Brands and Fournews‚ who brought us the likes of Cafe Fino‚ News Cafe‚ Smooch‚ and Moyo.
