Imbalie Training Academy Offers Affordable, Short Courses for Aspiring Beauty Therapists!

Imbalie Training Academy

If you’ve always wanted to start a career in the beauty industry or brush up on your skills as a beauty therapist but don’t have the time or the money to do so, then listen up because your luck is about to change. Imbalie Beauty, the brains behind Placecol, Dream Nails, and Perfect 10 have recently launched an exciting new venture that offers students a refreshing one of a kind approach to starting or further developing their careers in the beauty industry. Imbalie Training Academy launched in March this year and offers students the opportunity to sign up for affordable short courses in everything from beauty and business to image consulting and wellness and fitness.

Perhaps the best thing about Imbalie Training Academy is that there’s no need to take off an entire year or more for your studies. At Imbalie the courses range from quick 1-day, 7-hour courses to month-long intensive courses. The average course is 5 days or 35 hours, making it the perfect option for students who want to study while working and use their new skills to supplement their income. The genius thing about this academy is that instead of having students sign up for a 3-year full-time course in beauty, students can instead opt to do their studies in modules and develop their skills when the time and funds are right.

As for the prices, they’re incredibly competitive when compared to the exorbitant prices some beauty academies charge. The courses start at just R950 for a 1-day Spring Make-up Trends course and go up to R31 000 (including R20 000 kit fee) for a 5-day Permanent Make-up course. Other courses include a 5-day Basic Manicure & Pedicure course at R4 800 (including R1500 kit fee), 2-day Lash Extensions course at R3 800 (including the R1885 kit fee), and 2-day Lash Threading course at R2 140 (including R850 kit fee).

And, before you think these shorter courses are a watered down version of what you’ll get at another academy you’ll be interested to hear that most of the modular courses available at Imbalie are accredited by SETA (Skills Education Training Authorities in South Africa) and students wanting to receive their certified and accredited qualification can build their credits for their certification as they complete each necessary course. Students can also be sure that will leave the courses feeling like they are ready to enter the working world as the courses are designed to ensure that students follow an intensive academic and practical training process.

This is done over four phases and includes a Theoretical Phase (taught via E-learning prior to the start of the course), Practical Phase (where students are taught and guided by a subject matter expert), Incubation Phase (to gives students the opportunity to perfect their skills whilst working under the watchful eye of a mentor), and finally a Job Preparation and Placement Phase. This final phase is designed to help equip students with the necessary skills for a successful interview and grant students the opportunity to kick-start their career by gaining employment in one of Imbalie’s many beauty salons or wellness centers, nationally.
