Man Crush Monday: We Shoot the Breeze with Sauve Capetonian Keenan Arrison
With over ten years in the industry, actor, singer, and performer, Keenan Arrison has more than made his country proud. The suave artist became a household name when he starred as Ashwin on Mnet’s The Wild and let us all know he wasn’t going anywhere when he went on to co-write and star in the Cannes-nominated short film Ongeriewe. With so many impressive achievements under his belt, we thought it was high time we sat down and learned a little more about the Capetonian born star.

Honest, spontaneous, sporty, confident and hungry.
What’s your idea of the perfect date?
My perfect date is being able to spoil that special someone with the finer things. A drive along the Stellenbosch/Franschhoek Wine route, A Picnic basket, and bubbles all around darling!
What do you look for in a woman?
My kind of woman is a loving, loyal, intelligent, funny individual willing to dance ’till sunrise.
Who is your celeb crush, and why?
I had the biggest celeb crush on Mila Kunis. It all started with the TV series she was in called, That 70’s Show.
Your biggest relationship deal breaker (or turn off) is…
My biggest deal breaker/turn off is deception. Or someone who does not like sport (who doesn’t like sport?). Or someone who is superficial.
What do you like to do for fun or to relax?
We work in an industry that demands our time and knows no 9-5 schedule. 12-15 hour days can take its toll, that is why I usually spend my down time with family and close friends – watching or playing sport, hiking or relaxing at home.
If you could instantly download three skills or super powers like an app what would they be?
It would definitely have to be: 1. Telepathy. 2. Time travel, and 3. Shapeshifting.
Right now, what are you completely obsessed with?
Childish Gambino is doing it for me right now.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I have a shellfish allergy. I had to find out the hard way.
When you were little you wanted to be…
Macguyver. The guy was a genius. He could literally fix anything with a paper-clip.
What are you most looking forward to this year?
I am most excited about my One Man Show set to hit theatres later this year, after lots and lots of travel.
What can’t you live without?
Has to be… family … And FOOD.
