Modest Mouse to Play in South Africa!

Attention music lovers; Indie band Modest Mouse has been announced as the international headliner to join the line-up for the Parklife Gourmet Food and Music Festival taking place in Cape Town on Saturday 2 May and Johannesburg on Sunday 3 May! Here’s the low-down on the festival and what you can expect from Modest Mouse and the rest of the line-up.
Modest Mouse released their debut album, This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About in 1996 and quickly became a favourite on the Indie music scene. This time around, they are celebrating the release of their new album, Strangers to Ourselves and festival goers can expect to hear a mix of their old hits and new tunes.
The local line-up for the festival includes PHFAT, The Kiffness, Jimmy Nevis, Gangs of Ballet, Monark, Connell Cruise, Jesse Clegg, Johnny Apple, Yorke, Jeremy Loops and HouseHold Funk with international rockers, American Authors joining the Cape Town line-up as well.
The festival promises to offer music lovers a great day out filled with incredible lives acts and and delicious food. The Cape Town event will be hosted at the Ostrich Ranch and the Joburg event will be hosted at Marks Park, Emmarentia with tickets ranging from R395 – R495.
