Pizza Hut Opens First Store in Cape Town!
Pizza lovers rejoice, USA import, Pizza Hut has finally arrived in Cape Town! Yes, yes, we all know that Pizza Hut used to have a few branches in Cape Town back in the day but after years of being without their delicious deep dish pizzas and yummy range of sides the time has finally come to welcome them back to the fast food pizza world here in the Cape. Since their return to South African shores in 2014, Pizza Hut stores have been popping up all over Joburg and now it’s time for Cape Town to get its very own store! Here are all the details on the new store and where you can find Pizza Hut in Cape Town.
When Pizza Hut first graced our shores back in the day the stores were mostly geared towards sit-down customers in the Pizza Hut restaurants but this time around they’re focusing more on the delivery and take-away offering. There is, of course, limited seating in the store, for those times when you simply can’t wait to get your pizza home to eat it. The first Cape Town Pizza Hut store in Tableview offers a relaxed dining experience for customers who want to enjoy their pizza along with a cold brew of Devil’s Peak craft beer (yes, there’s craft beer!) but the pizza will taste just as good when you take it home with you.
But, let’s talk about the food – while we’ve got plenty of takeaway pizza joints in the Cape, the Pizza Hut menu does offer quite a lot more for those looking for something different. Their pizzas come in a range of both classic and local inspired pizzas – choose between basics like plain cheese, pepperoni, BBQ Pork and Hawaiian or splash out on more eloborate choices like Supreme, Andre’s Boerie Pizza and the veggie inspired Feta and Roasted Veg. Customers can also choose between a Deep Pan or traditional base at no extra cost as well as three delicious base sauces including Peri-Peri, BBQ or Traditional Tomato.
But it’s the sides that really make the difference – unlike a lot of pizza joints in SA, Pizza Hut offer fries as a side to enjoy with your meal, as well as other options like chicken wings, pizza wraps, and Cinnamon Coated Donut Balls (sweet doughnut holes with chocolate dipping sauce) and a Chocolate Covered Pizza (white and milk chocolate on a sweet pizza crust).
The Pizza Hut pizzas start from R39.90 for a small pizza and R89.90 for a large. They also offer some great value meals such as The Big Cheese (any large CheesyBites Pizza, 4 Cheesy Garlic Twists, Cheesy Loaded Chips, and 2 Cheesy Dipping Sauces) for R149.90 and the Big Night In (2 small pizzas, fries, 2 cheest garlic twists, and a dessert pizza) for R100.
