5 Products, 30 Days – Here’s How to Get Healthy Skin in 1 Month! [Review]

Environ Original Discovery Kit

Healthy skin in just 30 days – sounds too good to be true right? The great news is it’s not impossible to transform your skin in one month and come out at the other end with healthier, glowing skin. And now, thanks to Environ’s #RebornBeautiful campaign and the limited edition Environ Original Daily Essentials Discovery Set, it’s now simpler and easier than ever before to achieve the results you want for your skin. I gave Environ a try and I loved the effect the products had on my skin, and in such a short amount of time too! Of course, starting a new skincare routine can be a daunting task and the launch of the limited edition Environ Discovery Set offers anyone who is curious about the brand a fantastic opportunity to trial the products.

So what’s so different about Environ? The products in the Environ range were all developed around the idea that Vitamin A is the essential nutrient responsible for your skin’s overall health and wellbeing, and that it must be replaced daily. But, this is easier said than done and it’s important to start your relationship with Vitamin A very slowly and under the guidance of a skincare expert. The limited edition Environ Original Daily Essentials Discovery Set offers a new Environ user everything they need in one easy-to-use kit and allows you to introduce your skin to Vitamin A in a safe and effective way.

The scientifically researched combination of vitamins A, C, E and antioxidants in the Environ Original Range gives skin exactly what it needs in adequate doses to keep it looking healthy and beautifully radiant for life. The Environ Original Daily Essentials Discovery Set includes 5 products from the Original Range namely the Original Gentle Foaming Cleanser (50ml), Original Revitalising Toner (60ml),  Original Balancing Masque (25ml), Original Firming Eye Gel (10ml | full size), Original Debut Moisturiser 25ml. The kit also includes a bonus gift voucher which you can use to enjoy 20% off the purchase price of a full-size Original Debut or Moisturising Gel.

When using Environ for the first time I quickly realised that the brand’s genius lies in the range of Vitamin A moisturisers. Like all new users, I started my Environ journey with the Original Debut Moisturiser which works on Environ’s Vitamin STEP-UP™ SYSTEM. This moisturiser is classified as a moisturiser level 1 in the range and contains a low amount of Vitamin A to allow your skin to build up a ‘resistance’ or get used to daily Vitamin A application. If you do decide to invest in the Original Daily Essentials Discovery Set make sure you also invest in an Environ RAD SPF15 sunscreen and apply it daily before applying your makeup. While the Debut Moisturiser assists in nourishing skin and improving the appearance of uneven skin tone and sun damage, it also makes your skin more sensitive to the sun. Something I learned the hard way.

Environ RAD SPF15 sunscreen

I have very sun-sensitive skin and am prone to getting sun blisters quite easily and while I was advised to use the RAD sunscreen daily (and did so religiously) I wasn’t prepared for just how sensitive my skin would be to the sun when using this moisturiser and I would get a sun blister breakout after spending as little as 5 minutes in the sun. While I could see the good the product was doing for my skin, I quickly realised that I wasn’t able to use it every day and certainly not twice a day as I was doing when I first started using it. Everyone’s skin is different and will react to Vitamin A differently and my skin freaked out more than just a little when I started using the Environ Original Debut Moisturiser. I adjusted my routine a little and started using the Environ Super Moisturiser (a beautifully creamy, soothing moisturiser) every morning and night and used the Debut Moisturiser once a week at night only. My skin adjusted after a few weeks and now I have graduated to using the product twice a week at night. I’m sure it’s going to be a while until I can graduate to the level 2 moisturiser but I’d rather take it slow and steady.

If you’re interested in learning more about Environ and you’re in Cape Town then I’d recommend booking a treatment at the Environ Skincare Institute. I was lucky enough to be treated to an Environ Ultimate Vitamin Therapy treatment (90-min | R630) at the institute and the results were incredible. My skin looked younger and had a beautiful glow for days after the treatment and it was a great way to kickstart my Environ journey. The luxurious ‘facial’ was designed to effectively support a wide range of skin care concerns and your therapist works with you to discuss your concerns before the facial so you can customise the treatment to your skin’s needs and your desired results.

The Environ Alginate Mask was the best part of my facial!

After the facial and a few weeks of using Environ products, I definitely noticed a positive change in my skin. My complexion looked clearer and my skin was more radiant. The products also helped with my dehydration and dry skin and I found that I was having to use less and less moisturiser as the weeks progressed. I would highly recommend this system to anyone who wants to see a visible change in their skin in a matter of weeks and at the recommended price of R695 for the Original Daily Essentials Discovery Set there’s never been a better time to take the plunge. But hurry, the limited edition Discovery Kit will only be available in stores until 30 April 2017 or while stocks last!

The Environ Original Daily Essentials Discovery Set and other Environ products are available at participating Authorised Environ stockists nationwide. Click here to find a stockist in your area. You can find the Environ Skincare Institute Cape Town at 183 Bree Street, Cape Town.
