By now you’ve probably heard that Carly Rae Jepsen is coming to South Africa! Hilltop Live Africa and Universal Music South Africa, in partnership with 94.7 and MTV recently announced two dates for Carly Rae Jepsen to perform live in South Africa as part of her E.MO.TION album release in South Africa. The “Call Me Maybe” and “I Really Like You” singer/songwriter will perform at Grand Arena, GrandWest, Cape Town on 21 October 2015 and the Monument Amphitheatre, Pretoria on 24 October 2015 and the great news is the show is open to all ages! But that’s not all; if you buy your ticket now, you can also help contribute to your child’s school or a school in need!
The amazing new campaign by Hilltop Live aims to help schools raise funds in conjunction with the Carly Rae Jepsen SA tour 2015. Recognising that education is one of the most important building blocks for any community, the Carly Rae Jepsen team has decided to make a portion of each ticket purchased available to the school of your choice. For every successful transaction, Hilltop Live will donate R75 to the school you nominated when purchasing your tickets. All you need to do is buy your concert ticket online and while completing your transaction input the name of the school of your choice along with a contact number for the school. That’s it!
But wait there’s more! Hilltop Live have also announced that the first artist joining the bill for Carly Rae Jepsen live in South Africa is much-loved local artist, Matthew Mole! Cape Town born, 23-year-old Matthew Mole made history as the first South African artist to debut on iTunes at number 1 for his debut album The Home We Built. Matthew Mole blends acoustic guitar, banjos, drums, ukulele, and umpteen percussive instruments into tracks like ‘Chapel’ , ‘Take Yours, I’ll Take Mine’ and ‘The Wedding Song’.
