Cheesy Venison Meatballs on Polenta
Ingredients:
1 Kg venison mince
Salt and pepper
2 teaspoons turmeric
2 teaspoons garlic
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground coriander
1 onion finely chopped
1 egg
1/3 cup milk
250g grated cheddar cheese
Olive oil
2 tins of chopped tomatoes
Fresh sage leaves
Method:
Pre-heat the oven to 180C.
Mix all the ingredients except the tomatoes and sage.
Shape into balls.
Drizzle olive oil in an oven proof dish and pack the meatballs in the dish.
Pour the chopped tin tomatoes over and sprinkle with sage leaves.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Serve with polenta.
2018 Capegate Craft Beer & Wine Festival
The festival takes place at Capegate Shopping Centre, Entrance 6 on Friday 31 August (17:00 – 21:00) and Saturday 1 September (13:00 – 18:00). Tickets are available online from Webtickets at R75 per person or R90 at the door. Your entry ticket includes a coupon booklet, containing 20 tasting coupons. Festival goers can buy more coupons once their booklet is finished or a bottle of wine for on-premise consumption.
