Great news for fashionistas in the Cape, global retailer, H&M has finally opened its second Western Cape store! The fashion giant opened its second store in the Western Cape this weekend at Somerset Mall in Somerset West and shoppers came out in droves to welcome them to the area. The new H&M Somerset Mall store is the sixth H&M store in South Africa and is certainly a welcome addition to the Somerset West area.
On Saturday, 1 October 20016, More than 1000 customers queued to see the store and get a taste of some fabulous opening specials. Once inside shoppers discovered a beautiful, spacious store housing an extensive range of fashion for the entire family. The store also offers the opportunity for customers to get involved in the ‘Close the Loop’ project which sees customers getting an H&M discount voucher for all unwanted, used garments and textiles dropped off at the store. Garments dropped in the ‘Close the Loop’ bins are either donated to charity or recycled into new textiles to make up the ‘Close the Loop’ recycled clothing range sold in H&M Stores.
Located at entrance 3 at Somerset Mall, the new H&M store will be open from 9:00 – 19:00 on Mondays to Saturdays and from 09:00 – 17:00 on Sundays and Public Holidays. And, if you’re not based in the Western Cape then you will be thrilled to hear that the Somerset West store is one of four stores to open in the country before the end of 2016. H&M will soon be opening stores at Galleria Mall in Durban, Menlyn Park in Pretoria and East Rand Mall in Johannesburg before the end of the year with stores at I’langa Mall in Nelspruit and Mall of the North in Polokwane to follow during the first half of 2017.
