HYROX South Africa Announces Kolisi Foundation as Charity Partner
HYROX South Africa has announced the Kolisi Foundation as the official charity partner for the upcoming HYROX Cape Town event. Taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) on 19 and 20 July 2025, HYROX Cape Town, the event is set to be South Africa’s biggest HYROX event yet.
According to the Kolisi Foundation, the collaboration is built on a shared commitment to community, impact, and empowerment. The partnership will see HYROX South Africa offering a platform at its next event where the Kolisi Foundation can raise awareness, drive support, and connect with everyday individuals who are eager to make a difference.
Joining this inspiring collaboration is local gym, Boundfit, whose dedicated HYROX athletes are not only pushing their physical limits by competing in this popular event but are also raising funds to support the Kolisi Foundation’s work. This is “fitness for purpose” in its truest form, where physical endurance meets the pursuit of social justice.

Founded by Rachel and Siya Kolisi, the Kolisi Foundation exists to respond to some of South Africa’s most urgent challenges. The Foundation’s three focus areas: Gender-Based Violence, Education & Sport, and Food Security, are all interlinked and addressed through strategic partnerships with organisations that already have a strong presence on the ground. At the heart of the Foundation’s work is the belief that collaboration drives impact.
Lauren Budde, Strategic Partnerships Manager at the Kolisi Foundation, explains: “It’s partnerships like these between commercial platforms like HYROX South Africa and committed community training facilities, like Boundfit, that allow organisations like ours to walk alongside and benefit from their resources, energy, and networks. This is what intentional collaboration looks like. It’s a beautiful example of how the private sector and purpose-driven organisations can come together and support one another.”

The Kolisi Foundation team will be on-site at the CTICC event in Cape Town, cheering on the Boundfit athletes and celebrating every individual who’s chosen to compete and contribute. The Kolisi Foundation and Boundfit invite the public to follow the athletes on their journey, show up in support at HYROX Cape Town, and, where possible, donate to this impactful campaign via the GivenGain page. It’s time to move, sweat, and give with purpose!
Spectator tickets for HYROX Cape Town are available online priced from R150 per person for a 1 day pass or R250 for a weekend pass. Access is free for children under 12 when accompanied by an adult with a valid spectator ticket.
