Perhaps one of the coolest things about H&M coming to SA is that we now have access to the retailer’s incredible annual designer collaborations. This November will see H&M team up with Parisian fashion house, Kenzo for this year’s designer collaboration and we can’t wait to get our hands on a piece of Kenzo magic. Here are all the details on the Kenzo x H&M collection launching in South African stores on 3 November 2016 – if you’re keen on a piece of the Kenzo goodness, then you’d better be prepared, last year’s designer collection sold out in one day!
Ladies set your alarm clocks and mark your diaries because the Kenzo x H&M collection launches first thing Thursday 3 November 2016. In true Kenzo style the exclusive collection is bold, colourful, and oh-so-sassy. You need plenty of attitude to wear these high-fashion pieces and there’s no doubt that just one piece of Kenzo magic will make your entire wardrobe whole lot more fabulous.
The collection will range in price from R149 for smaller everyday pieces to R5599 for big, bold dresses that are fit for the red carpet. Of course, a lot of the pieces are more pricey than you’re used to at H&M but these are investment pieces that will no doubt stand the test of time. Don’t forget they’re also designer fashion so they’re bound to come with a heftier price tag.
The Kenzo x H&M collection will be on sale in South Africa at the V&A Waterfront and Sandton City stores. The doors will open at 08:00 on the morning of Thursday 3 November and be prepared to get there early to register. There are a few rules for being able to shop the collection and there will be a queuing system in place. Shoppers will be given a special wristband that will give them access to the store for a limited time to buy the pieces they want. Make sure you know what pieces you want before heading in store because you won’t have time to try things on or second guess your purchase. Customers will be limited to one item per person including clothes, shoes, bags and accessories.
If you’re not sure what to buy we suggest going a little more low-key and embracing the athleisure trend. We love the tiger logo sweatshirts (in orange and black – R799) and tiger logo T-shirts (in black and white – R429). Kenzo is probably best known for its iconic tiger head logo sweatshirts, so these will prove to be a classic purchase that won’t break the bank too much. Other fabulous pieces include the folksy off-the-shoulder flow-print blouse (R749), multi-coloured dress (R2999) and skirt (R1199). And, we’re dying to get our hands on that pink and red animal print full-length skirt (R1499)!
