Lindt Releases a Life-Size Advent Calendar Priced at Over R3,000!
It’s already advent calendar season, and there are so many new advent calendars to help us count down the festive season. But Lindt is offering something that tops them all. This year, Lindt is taking the countdown to Christmas very seriously, debuting its 2025 Advent calendar that’s 1.5m tall!
The life-sized calendar was revealed by Lindt in October and quickly went viral online with videos on Instagram and TikTok getting millions of views. The massive calendar features 24 compartments, numbered for the 24 days of December, filled with an assortment of full-sized Lindt chocolates.
The exciting find includes Lindt Lindor Truffles, teddies, chocolate bars, and more. It’s currently selling for $190 (R3,200!) in the US, but prices may change regionally. And with 2.7kg of chocolate treats to enjoy, that price breaks down to about R1.19 per gram!
In a TikTok video shared by the account @costcofinds, content creator Laura Lamb held up the calendar to herself, which is just about as tall as her.
In the video, she opens a few of the 24 compartments, numbered for the 24 days of December, filled with an assortment of full-sized Lindt chocolates. Some of the treats she revealed were assorted truffles, sea salt and dark chocolate bars and Lindt’s gold Hollow Milk Chocolate Teddy Bear that comes in a special jersey.
The large size is a big selling point, considering the calendar has so many uses. It would be a great gift to share with friends or family and it would make a fun, interactive gift at a shared office.
Lindt hasn’t announced any plans to bring the ginormous advent calendar to South Africa yet, but here’s hoping it makes an appearance at Lindt South Africa stores.
Fortunately for those who really need this calendar in their lives, there’s a way to get your hands on it in South Africa, even if Lindt doesn’t officially launch it here. With South Africa’s Postbox Courier, you can buy almost anything and have it shipped to South Africa, and enjoy a fast-tracked delivery option. Postbox Courier uses its global courier partners to get you your item as fast as possible, and streamlining the customs process if need be.

Create a free account
All you need to do is sign-up with Postbox Courier and you’ll get your own personal address allocated to you in the US, UK, or other regional depots, then allowing you to use that address when purchasing from US, UK, or other international stores. If they only ship locally in the UK or US, well, you now have a local address — winning! Postbox Courier will then forward the parcel(s) from your remote depot to your doorstep in South Africa.
You’ll also be able to save money, and this is because parcel forwarding companies like Postbox Courier often have local and international courier partners, allowing for the best rates for express shipping, something individual shops won’t be able to offer you.
Pssst, parcel consolidation saves you money
On top of getting items you wouldn’t usually have access to, Postbox Courier also offers parcel consolidation. This is extremely beneficial for people who shop with multiple retailers or want to bundle a number of international orders into one larger package, in order to save costs doing multiple shipments.
Postbox Courier offers free package consolidation, which is even better and then just leaves you with the singular shipping cost alone.
So, if you have your heart set on something you can’t buy without a US shipping address, then check out Postbox Courier, sign-up for free, and get your dedicated address in New York, London, or many other key spots around the world. Then, you can shop, ship your goods there, and pay based on your orders to get the items back to South Africa.
