With delights like deep-fried camembert with strawberries, herb-crusted rack of lamb, seared Norwegian salmon, and black forest gâteau on the menu it’s bound to be a hit with mum! Of course, there will also be a wide selection of Nederburg wines, offered by the glass and by the bottle available and Nederburg’s new assistant white-wine maker, Chandré Petersen, who will be close by to tell you more about the wines, and help with any pairing suggestions. To top it off, every mother will be treated to a surprise gift from Nederburg.

Trees Restaurant at the Townhouse Hotel is Known for its upmarket cuisine and urban atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to spend Sunday 8 May, spoiling that irreplaceable woman in your life. The menu, from Michelin-trained Executive Chef Stefan Schmidt and his team, was specially designed for families to treat mom, without anyone having to do the washing up. To ward off any oncoming winter chills, lunch will begin with a choice of two hearty soups, a herby beef broth with mince, or a hearty vegetable soup. This will be followed by a choice of starters and a buffet of note for mains! Expect treats like slow braised beef olives, roast chicken stuffed with lentils, couscous and leeks, local fish, baked vegetable moussaka and Joostenberg pork infused with apple, caraway and sage. Guests would be well warned to keep space for the decadent dark chocolate dessert, noisette gateau with brownie soil, raspberry and orange parfait.
