The fashion retailer has announced an exciting new collaboration series with a host of emerging young designers from around the country, and the first collection is absolutely stunning! With new designer collaborations being launched in MRP stores on a regular basis the new MRP + creative collabs will offer South African shoppers a whole new way to shop local.
South Africa is known for its creative flow and trendy flavour and this January MRP kicks off its MRP + creative collabs venture with a range from LISOF graduate, Tinyiko Khoza. With a love for nature and ruffles and of course, Khoza’s designs are romantic yet modern. Speaking about her collaboration with MRP Khoza said; “I really hope it inspires aspiring young designers to keep pushing themselves and to follow their instincts.”
For her MRP collection the young designer explores stripes and playful prints using young, feminine silhouettes. “I played with ruffles a lot throughout the range”, says Khoza. “This is an ode to the waves and folds in plants, flowers and even ripples in water.” Khoza explains that she loves to use nature as a reference for her designs because “with nature, you’ll always find something beautiful to draw inspiration from. Fashion is all the better because of it.”
