Puma Introduces Throwback Swag with New PUMA x FUBU Collection
American streetwear brand FUBU (For Us By Us) is a key name in defining 90s hip-hop style. It was one of the first street style brands to go against fashion norms and create clothing inspired by the streets, thus coming to represent boldness and determination. Started by four friends in a basement – like PUMA – the brand has engrained a legacy in the streetwear culture that still continues after 25 years in 2018.
Similarly, the iconic PUMA Suede shoe has withstood decades of cultural revivals and is still trendy in streetwear culture today. As part of the anniversary of the shoe, the two brands have collaborated and designed the PUMA x FUBU collection that includes motifs of velour and throwback swag.
The PUMA x FUBU Classic Suede sneaker (R1999) is a contemporary take on the iconic PUMA Suede and is designed in black velour with red lining and gold accents. The PUMA x FUBU Women’s Track Jacket (R1599) comes in black with a red stripe down the sides and features a large satin appliqué, as well as a FUBU “What Will Your Legacy Look Like” patch on the back of the jacket. Also available in the women’s collection are the black and red T7 Legging (R999) and white Graphic Tee (R799).
