Table Mountain Cableway Launches Incredible Summer Sunset Special for Locals
Cape Town offers some pretty incredible sunsets and Table Mountain is one of the best places to take it all in. But watching the sun go down shouldn’t only be reserved for weekends, the great news for locals is it’s now even easier to indulge in sneaky after-work Table Mountain sunset session this summer thanks to the Table Mountain Cableway’s incredible sunset special.
Locals can head up Table Mountain for half price this summer with the Cableway’s Sunset Special, valid from 18:00 daily. The special started on 1 November and runs until Thursday 28 February 2019, so you have plenty of time to take advantage of the opportunity to head up our most loved landmark (note: the special is not valid for the period 20 December 2018 to 2 January 2019).
To experience spectacular African sunsets atop one of the world’s New 7 Wonders of Nature, locals can purchase a return ticket at R145 for adults and R72.50 for children under 18 years of age. It’s the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the season’s long balmy evenings, and don’t forget your camera so that you can capture your sunset special moments!
Tickets can be purchased online from the Table Mountain Cableway website or from the Lower Station Ticket Office at any time during the day (the ticket will only be valid to be used from 18:00 daily). When purchasing Sunset Special tickets online you’ll need to enter your SA ID number and the SA ID numbers of the people who you are buying tickets for. The same rule applies at the Ticket Office (Children under 18 years of age do not require an ID or ID number).
