Get Ready For Your Next TV Obsession; Ballet Drama ‘Flesh and Bone’

Flesh and Bones

As if we needed any more series to obsess over! TV land might be inundated with great TV series to binge watch but we are definitely making room in our schedules for the brand new dance drama, Flesh and Bone. The new series by one of the writers of massive hit ‘Breaking Bad’ is set to focus on the story of a young ballet dancer and it looks absolutely epic. We haven’t been this excited about anything related to ballet since Centre Stage blew up the big screen way back in 2000 so keep reading to find out more about this upcoming series and then watch the official trailer to get even more excited.

The eight-episode series about a young ballet dancer with a dark past trying to make it in a competitive ballet company in New York City was created by Breaking Bad writer and executive producer, Moira Walley-Beckett. Based on what we’ve seen in the trailer it looks like the show will focus on the behind-the-scenes drama of the ballet world and features some pyscho teachers and rather crazy peers.

But wait, there’s more! What really sets this ballet series apart from all sorts of other dance movies and TV shows is that the star, Claire is played by ballerina, Sarah Hay. Sarah performed with the American Ballet Theatre and is the real deal!

And, for Centre Stage fans there’s also the fact that the show spells a mainstream entertainment comeback for ballet heartthrob, Sascha Radetsky (that’s right THE actor that played Charlie Sims is back!) This is a real coup for every teenage girl still living inside a 30-year-old woman’s body. Butterflies aside the show also stars world-renowned prima ballerina Irina Dvorovenko – which makes the show as legitimate as they come.
