Summer has only just arrived but it’s never too early to start thinking about your music festival plans for the holiday season. Red Bull has rounded up 5 of the most unmissable events in December 2018 and January 2019. Get ready to grab a Red Bull Summer Edition Coconut and Berry (you’re going to need it!) and get your groove on under the sun with some of SA’s hottest live music performances.

1. Goldfish Submerged Sundays @ Shimmy Beach Club

Goldfish is back for another summer season in Cape Town! Starting from 9 December and running until 4 January, the seventh edition of Submerged Sundays at Shimmy Beach Club is sure to blow your socks off. Supported by the finest local music acts, internationally recognised duo, Goldfish will return to South African for yet another stint on local soil for a series of performances that’ll have you moving and grooving along.

2. Sexy Groovy Love @ Rhebokskloof Wine Estate

Start your summer with a bang! Sexy Groovy Love is taking place on 1 December and features performances from the likes of Ben Bohmer, Siphe Tebeka and Thor Rixen. This day-long festival is the perfect way to kick off the festive season!

3. Kinky Summer @ Le Paris, Franschhoek

4. Metro FM Heatwave Cape Town @ Shimmy Beach Club

On 22 December, head to the city’s most popular beach club in time for the hottest pre-Christmas party of the season. Featuring performances from Metro FM DJs like Oskido, Somizi and Lerato, this event promises to be one for the books!

5. Pacha Ibiza New Years’ Day Festival
