Catch every World Cup moment live on big screens at the Market. Expect an electric atmosphere, incredible food from Cape Town’s top kitchens, and ice-cold drinks. Guests who download the Time Out Market app and sign up will receive a complimentary Stella Artois during selected matches. Walk-ins are welcome, but arrive early for the best seats.
Mandela Day: Paws for a Purpose: 18 and 19 July 2026

This Mandela Day weekend, donate your 67 minutes with purpose at Time Out Market. In partnership with Oscar’s Arc Woof Project, walk a rescue dog along a scenic, curated V&A Waterfront route departing from and returning to the Market. After a welcome and safety briefing, volunteers will be matched with a dog to suit their energy and comfort level, with a digital and printed route map provided. On return, enjoy a complimentary Mimosa at the Dry Dock Bar, learn more about adoption and Oscar’s Arc WOOF Project, and share your walk on the Wall of Thanks. Available on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend.
Gin Cocktail Masterclass: From medicine to mischief with AJ Durow: 23 July 2026

Think you have what it takes? Zuney Burgers is bringing competitive eating to the Market with not one, but two high-stakes showdowns: the Zuney Wagyu Championship and the Zuney Burgers Championship. Two champions will be crowned and will share in a prize pool worth R100,000, with prizes for 2nd and 3rd place including Zuney Burgers vouchers. Tuna Fight Club is an exclusive one-night-only culinary showdown where Cape Town’s award-winning chefs step into the arena, each presenting their boldest tuna-inspired creation.
Think Japanese Sushi Tuna versus African Street Tuna, Italian Tuna Pasta versus Greek Tuna Gyro, or Tuna Pizza versus Mexican Tuna Taco. Guests are given the chance to carve up and experience the giant tuna on display – shared communally.
