Greyton Fire + Wine: 24 & 25 July 2026

Greyton Fire + Wine

This unique winter wine experience in Greyton, features tastings from 30 top-tier winemakers tucked inside cosy venues along the village main road. Experience heavy-hitting reds and full-bodied whites curated specifically for the winter weather. Plus, there are plenty of opportunities to meet the people behind the bottles!

The festival takes place on Friday 24 July (13:00 – 19:00) and Saturday 25 July (12:00 – 18:00) at various venues in Greyton. The festival is structured around fireplace hopping so, instead of a traditional festival tent, guests stroll through the quaint village and hop between cosy restaurants, lodges, and cafés with crackling fires to warm you upon arrival at each venue. Nothing says winter wonderland quite like fireside tastings of beautiful South African wines.

Greyton Brew Run: 15 August 2026

This one’s for the beer fans who love to stay active. The scenic trail-running event features 6km, 13km, and 21km trail running routes followed by craft beer and festivities, with proceeds supporting the Greyton House Bursary Fund. Trail running, craft beer, and a cause worth running for, what could be better?

For casual runners and walkers, the 6km fun run/walk is short in distance but big on beauty. This introductory trail is dog friendly and gives participants a taste of the stunning fynbos and mountain scenery that makes Greyton special. Fun, accessible, and a great reason to lace up your shoes on a winter morning. Serious trail runners will love the more challenging 13km and 21km routes, delivering big views and memorable trails.

Ticket price: Entries are available online at R350 (6km), R580 (13km), and R780 (21km) each. Kids under 12 pay just R 120 for the 6km trail. Every cent of your entry goes to the Greyton House Bursary Fund, giving local children access to quality education.

Included in your entry: Kick off your morning with a complimentary coffee before you hit the trails. Out on the route, water points are stocked with iced tea, energy drinks, Coke, water, and plenty of treats to keep you going, including the now-legendary date squares. Cross that finish line and a free pint of craft beer is waiting for every adult participant. Just show your race number to claim it. You’ve earned it.

A beloved village staple featuring open private gardens, a rose show, and stalls,  This delightful festival transforms the entire dorpie into a vibrant floral celebration. Last year’s festival featured 12 incredible Open Gardens welcoming guests from Friday to Sunday from 10:00 until 16:00. The Greyton Rose Show is a highlight of the weekend and includes displays from local rose growers.

Guests are invited to collect a garden map and enjoy a walkabout of the town in between exploring the various gardens. The Rose Fair involves the entire village with local shops, restaurants, artists, schools, and churches making this a wonderful weekend for visitors and locals to enjoy. Greyton’s popular Saturday market forms part of the weekend’s fair lineup with live entertainment, food and gifting stalls to explore.

According to a report published by the Hermanus Times, the 2025 event was a huge success. “Visitors could enjoy the 12 open gardens, which varied from formal rose gardens, to cottage gardens and an indigenous garden. About 500 visitors visited these gardens over the three-day period.” The report went on to say Dr Mike Kock’s indigenous garden was a highlight for many festival goers over the weekend.

Ticket prices: Ticket prices for this year’s event have yet to be announced by Greyton Tourism. Visitors must have a map and wristband to enter the gardens with tickets available online and in Greyton on the day.

Greyton Wine Weekend: 6 & 7 November 2026

Missed the winter wine festivities? Here’s your chance to try again… but with infinitely more sunshine! Once again, this picture perfect country village will provide the setting for a glorious summer weekend of tasting wine from over 30 producers.

The epic Greyton Wine Weekend is now in its 6th year. Don’t miss out and book your tickets to discover the finest wines from emerging boutique wineries along with great established wine estates. Not just for wine lovers, the festival is a 2-day celebration of great food and wine in an incredible setting.

This isn’t your typical wine festival, it’s a full weekend experience. In Greyton you won’t have to put up with endless queuing up with the masses at generic stalls inside a muggy tent, you get to meander around the picturesque village and use your festival map to seek out 30+ winemakers and producers who’ve set up shop at restaurants, galleries, shops, and other businesses throughout Greyton.

Greyton truly does have something for everyone. This colourful weekend invites guests to come experience art in the valley. Taking place over three days, Greyton Art Walk is a visual journey through Greyton’s home studios, galleries, restaurants, cafes, and open-air venues. Travel and experience quiet oak-lined lanes set against a backdrop of majestic mountains.

The immersive experience invites art lovers to visit restaurants and coffee shops, gift shops, art galleries, and all sorts of other venues as the village is transformed into one large art gallery. The 2025 rendition of the festival saw the works of more than 20 artists being showcased with a diverse range of artistic mediums on display.

In 2025, Greyton Art Walk featured renowned British artist Richard Scott (who is based in Cape Town) as the guest artist, so who knows which big names will pop up this year! Greyton Art Walk is the perfect occasion to enjoy not only remarkable art but also Greyton’s exceptional culinary scene and stunning accommodation options.
