Did you know Carlton Hair has a nail bar? That’s right, the well-known hair salon brand launched the highly successful nail salons in select Carlton Hair salons across the country in July 2014 and now, almost 2 years later customers are still loving the hair and nail combo services in their favourite salons. The service launched in 8 salons in Cape Town and Joburg and has now expanded to even more Carlton salons across the country. Up until recently, I was totally oblivious to the nail services at Carlton Hair salons and I must say; I didn’t know what I was missing! Being able to get your hair and nails done in one fell sweep is the best thing ever and I’m definitely adding Carlton Nails to my list of trusted nail salons in future.
I got my nails done at the Claremont Carlton Hair salon and at first I thought it was just one of those ‘nail bars’ where they add on a mani while you get your hair done but when I arrived I was delighted to see they had seperate, dedicated manicure and pedicure stations where you could sit back, relax and be pampered inside the salon. I opted to get a gel manicure and natural polish pedicure on the same day and I was super impressed with the nail technicians who worked on my nails that morning. Both ladies were super friendly and attentive and keen to share their advice and stories with me. I also loved that they paid very careful attention to detail and wouldn’t let me leave the chair without checking I was satisfied with my results.
Carlton Nails offers a wide range of Morgan Taylor natural polish and matching Gelish gel polish colours for you to choose from. The products are really great quality and my Gelish mani lasted a full 2 and a half weeks before I had to have it soaked off, and that was only because it grew out. My manicure and pedicure also included a soak and exfoliation as well as a hand and foot massage but you can also opt for an express mani or pedi option without all the trimmings. Carlton Nails also offers services for men so you and your man can go in for a pamper at the same time! Of course, if you don’t want to seperate your hair and nail appointments then you can save time by having your blow-out and mani done at the same time.
Carlton Nail bars can be found at Cavendish Square, Canal Walk, Longbeach, and Bayside in Cape Town and at Hyde Park, Lonehill, Centurion, Parkview, and Irene in Gauteng.
