If you’re not sure what to do this weekend then we’ve got great news; the Gabrielskloof’s Favourite Things Market is back for another year of grapes and gourmet. This year’s event promises to be a glitzy affair with the addition of a dazzling treasure trove of jewellery producers joining in on the fun. The market, taking place on 11 and 12 December 2015, is the perfect place to relax and unwind while getting your Christmas gift shopping done and dusted.
Start your festive season off in high spirits, at the annual market outside Bot River in the Overberg and marvel at the wide variety of handmade, homemade, creative, delicious, fresh and beautiful goodies on offer. Every last product at the assemblage of stalls carries this wine and olive estate’s stamp of approval. Rustic stalls, packed with real, authentic products; freshly prepared, sumptuous fare and gourmet bites; all offer something that is just beckoning to be shared.
A new addition to this year’s line-up will be six talented jewellery designers who will transform the estate’s private wine tasting lounge into an exclusive Pop Up Shop of unique and bespoke jewels ranging from brooches and bracelets to earrings and oh so fabulous bling.
There’s no better way to celebrate the season than by gathering with your family and friends to celebrate good food, exceptional wines and charming local finds. You will also struggle to find a more beautiful market setting! All the senses are engaged as soon as one sets foot in the estate’s courtyard with its reflective ponds and lush lawn, the heart of this artistic celebration.
