Call Off the Search, Isabelina is the Only Place to Shop for Beautiful Decor and Gifts! [Review]

Isabelina

If you’ve never set foot in an Isabelina store then there’s doubt that you are missing out! Paying a visit to one of their stores is always a highlight for me, because who doesn’t enjoy being surrounded by beautiful things? From beyond gorgeous furniture and decor pieces to stunning jewelry, accessories, and unique gifting bits and bobs, Isabelina has everything you need to bring a little bit of beauty into your life. But, I feel I must warn you; it is almost impossible to visit an Isabelina store without dropping some cash. Whether you’re spoiling yourself with a pretty pair of earrings, indulging in an arrangement of their signature silk flowers, or splashing out on a new chandelier, something will always beg to be taken home with you. And, with Isabelina stores in Cape Town and Joburg there’s really no excuse not to pop in and say hi.

The home of decor and oh-so-beautiful treasures, Isabelina is all about helping you inject some style into your life with almost no effort at all. Need a bit of a home makeover? No worries, their in-house interior decorators have got you covered and will assist with everything from reupholstering dining room chairs, to carrying out a full interior design project from plan stage, incorporating furniture, paint colour coordination, furniture selection, wallpapering and lighting. And, trust me these there’s a reason Isabelina is known and loved by interior designers as the go-to place for unique pieces to complete their designs – they really know their stuff!

One of my favourite things about shopping at Isabelina is that you can be guaranteed to find unique pieces that aren’t available at every other store in South Africa. We all know the feeling of going from store-to-store only to find 5 versions of the same drab and dull lampshade at every store! So much care has been taken to ensure that every single item in store fits the Isabelina mandate and that is why you are left breathless when you walk into their stores. Isabelina knows their customers demand the best quality and most unique designs so they often secure exclusive deals with furniture and decor designers to ensure that you won’t find those products anywhere else. Many of the things you find in store are also sourced from overseas designers and aren’t available anywhere else in South Africa. And, as if that isn’t enough, Isabelina also offers their own range of in-house furniture designs and can create special pieces just for you.

Another thing I love about Isabelina is that even if you don’t have the budget for a full-scale home makeover there’s something in store for you. Every nook and cranny is also filled with smaller trinkets and items that are ideal as gifts for the really special people in your life (or as a treat for yourself… obviously!) As I said, most of the items in store aren’t available anywhere else in South Africa so there’s little chance of your friend or family member getting the same thing from someone else. The items are also usually a season ahead so you’ll be a trendsetter amongst your friends and family if you shop at Isabelina. Their accessories range is nothing short of inspired and I’m always lured into the stores by the beautiful displays of handbags, scarves, jewellery, and other stylish accessories. One my most favourite pairs of earrings is from Isabelina and I’ve invested in many a gift for friends at the store as well.

But what about the prices? Luckily for Isabelina fans like me, you don’t need to spend a small fortune to have a little bit of Isabelina magic in your home. Smaller gifting items start from as little as R150 whereas larger decor items such as pieces of furniture can go up to as much as R31 000.

If you’re based in Cape Town then make sure you check out their newly refurbished Cavendish Square store – it’s a thing of beauty! Otherwise, Isabelina stores can also be found at the V&A Waterfront and George in the Western Cape as well as Design Quarter and Mall of the South in Gauteng. For more information and to see more of the range visit the Isabelina website or say Hi to Isabelina on Facebook.
