If you love jazz and classical music, you’re in lunch! Spier Wine Farm is hosting its first Jazz & Classical Encounters Festival, in November and you don’t want to miss it. Showcasing the best live original jazz and classic music pieces by young local musicians, the Spier Jazz & Classical Encounters Festival will no doubt be an event to remember for music fans.
Taking place on 3 November, the event promises to be a captivating summer evening under the stars! Guests will be treated to a stunning spectacle under the stars at Spier’s newly-revamped amphitheatre. The one-day festival will feature upcoming skilled students from UCT’s Jazz Department and Stellenbosch University’s Classical Music Department on a separate stage, in addition to other talented young musicians from around the country.
Music lovers can expect performances from the likes of the Buddy Wells Quartet and Skyjack as well as The Night Light Collective and Esemble Je Ne Comprends Pas.
Tickets for the Jazz and Classical Encounters festival are available online via the Spier website at a cost of R430 per adult (R322 for early birds) and R215 for students and children under 12.
