New Food Market Opens in Joburg!
Joburg foodies rejoice, there’s a new food market in Parkview and it’s a must-visit for a breakfast nibble, a cup of coffee and a good old old fashioned browse. WomenStuff spoke to the organisers of the Parkview Food Market and got the low-down on this fab little market in Joburg.
The new market focuses on food traders only and aims to bring shoppers into the The Village shops at the centre as well as into the market area to try the various wares on offer. Taking place every Saturday from 08:30 – 13:00 in the center’s arcade, the market aims to offer shoppers things that they wouldn’t be able to find just anywhere in Joburg. The traders at the market have been very carefully selected to make sure that shoppers find something new and exciting each time they visit.
Traders peddling their wares at the market include the Pasta Ladies (selling freshly made pasta and pestos), an artisan ice cream maker, and an olive merchant selling the very best olives money can buy. Market goers can also look forward to stalls selling cheeses, pizza sauces, food-plant seedlings, jams, teas, herbs and much more.
Visit the market at The Village at 54 Tyrone Avenue and stock up on must-have eats and groceries for the week to come.
