Puma Launches Activate TR HYROX, a Shoe Engineered for HYROX Training
Looking for the perfect training companion to your Puma Deviate Elite HYROX race day shoe? For anyone who doesn’t want to wear out their racing shoe in the gym Puma has launched the ultimate training partner in the new Activate TR HYROX.
Built to support the strength, conditioning and running work that forms the foundation of HYROX training, the Puma Activate TR HYROX is an exciting addition to Puma’s HYROX lineup.

Puma says the new training shoe was developed and tested in collaboration with Puma’s elite HYROX athletes. The result is a training shoe with increased stability through a wider outsole, lower stack height, TPU heel counter and a slightly firmer Nitrofoam midsole. The wider forefoot allows the toes to splay naturally, helping athletes feel more stable during key HYROX movements such as wall balls, sandbag lunges and supporting training exercises.
According to Puma, the Activate TR HYROX is designed to handle the demands of everyday training, with tech built to balance stability and versatility. The Nitrofoam midsole delivers responsiveness for running workouts, while a Pumagrip outsole provides traction during sled pushes and pulls.

Puma hybrid athlete Lucy Davis said: “Most HYROX athletes spend months preparing for race day, so having footwear that’s built specifically for training is a huge advantage. The Activate HYROX gives me the stability I need for strength work while still feeling comfortable and responsive on runs, making it a really versatile addition to my shoe rotation.”
The new Puma Activate TR HYROX is now available PUMA.com, in South Africa. Find it online at R3,099.
