Charlotte Koep, the brains behind the operation, started the brand with the aim of making beach apparel with a conscience and thus, all the items in the Chill Winstan range are locally made by the Where Rainbows Meet sewing project in Cape Town. The organisation helps to create employment and a sustainable income for women who have been victims of crime and plays an important role in giving dignity and a sense of purpose back to victims.
