Tame Your Locks with the Tangle Teezer
After years of working as an Editor and writer for…
If you are cursed with unruly locks then it’s time to meet the Tangle Teezer. This nifty gadget is a hairbrush, detangling comb and accessory all in one and you’re going to love it. The professional detangling hairbrush was designed by pro UK hair stylist Shaun Pulfrey and today is used in some of the top hair salons in the UK. The WomenStuff team got their hands on this heavenly hair tool to give you the low-down on what it’s like to use it and why you should invest in one ASAP.
The Tangle Teezer range features six different brushes – there’s one for every type of hair, you just need to find your match. Choose from The Original, Salon Elite, Aqua Splash, Magic Flower Pot and the Compact Styler and then enjoy tangle-free hair. And, as if that wasn’t awesome enough the brushes also come in all sorts of different colours and patterns. There really is a colour or a design to suit any man, woman or child out there. Our personal favourites include the Shaun the quirky Sheep design, the metallic gold and black beauty and the candy pop purple and pink number.
Besides looking great in your handbag or on your dressing table the brushes also glide through, vulnerable hair like no other. There’s no pulling, tugging or yanking to get your hair to behave. The WomenStuff team got their hands on a Salon Elite styler and a Compact Styler and loved them both. The Original worked wonders on just-washed hair and helped to detangle before blow-drying. Our tester also loved how easy the brush fits into the hand – this is thanks to the clever centralised concave design that lets you brush your hair with ease, and control the brush just the way you need to. The Compact Styler proved to be a lifesaver when we were on the go and the team loved its tiny size and the fact that the brush comes with a bristle protector.
The Salon Elite will set you back about R230 and the Compact Styler about R260. The entire range is available to order online from Retailbox.co.za.
