If you’ve ever flown economy and wished there was a slightly cushier option to splash out then you’re going to love Virgin Atlantic’s then offering. The airline has just introduced three new ways to fly economy in the form of ‘economy delight’, ‘economy classic’ and ‘economy light’ tickets, giving travellers even more options that suit their budget and travel style.
The new offerings will be available from spring this year and will allow customers more choice without having to compromise on inclusive food and drink, service, and great entertainment. The airline says that the added features offer slightly more for travellers with additional offerings such as 34-inch legroom, priority check-in and boarding, and pre-booked seat assignment with Economy delight.
Economy classic offers free seating assignment, giving larger groups of people reassurance that they can sit together during the flight without hassle, while the lowest fare, Economy Light makes flying more affordable and accessible for customers.
Other investments in the new Economy plan include more personalised service at airports, adding personal USB charging points to every economy seat and the addition of a brand new aircraft to the fleet next year. They’ve also paired with British candlemaker Rachel Vosper to create a brand new scent called ‘Air’, which is designed to promote well-being and inspire future travel – how cool!
