Cunard Queen Anne

Luxury cruise line Cunard is known for its nearly two hundred year legacy of luxury cruises that blend timeless elegance with modern luxury. Now, Cunard’s newest cruise ship, Queen Anne has returned to Cape Town for the second time since her inaugural visit less than a year ago.

Launched in 2024, Cunard’s Queen Anne returned to South African shores last week, sailing into Cape Town on 30 January before heading to Gqeberha on 2 February and Durban on 4 February. She will then continue to Singapore as part of her journey from Southampton to Asia and Australia. While this will be Queen Anne’s second visit to Cape Town and Durban, it will be her first port call in the Eastern Cape.

Founded in 1840, Cunard is one of the world’s oldest cruise lines and currently operates a fleet of four ships. Queen Anne, launched in 2024, as the newest addition with a capacity for nearly 3,000 passengers and more than 1,200 crew. The new vessel offers Cunard’s recently introduced inclusive fare packages (available across its fleet), which combine accommodation, meals and selected onboard services into a single price.

Queen Anne spans 14 decks and features elegant interiors, with art deco finishes, refined details, and thoughtfully curated artwork. Guests can choose from elegantly appointed staterooms, spacious suites, and exclusive penthouses, with private balconies and even a personal butler service.

Onboard entertainment and dining offers 15 venues ranging from formal multi-course restaurants to casual cafés, traditional British pubs, and specialty restaurants. Guests can also enjoy live performances, gala evenings, casino-themed nights, and vibrant bars, while the outdoor spaces include spectacular ocean views and multiple swimming pools. The ship also offers the most extensive wellness and fitness facilities ever seen on a Cunard vessel, alongside curated shopping with over 115 luxury brands.

She is also the largest ship in Cunard’s fleet to have completed a full circumnavigation of the globe.
