If you’re looking for a new spot to get all your pampering done with zero fuss then you’ve got to check out the new Cape Town Beauty Bar! The New York-style express beauty bar, based in Cape Town’s CBD, opened its doors a little over 3 months ago but I just got around to checking it out and I’m quite sure it’s my new happy place. I know that’s saying a lot but, the space is beyond beautiful and perfectly caters for the fast-paced lives of busy women working in the CBD. With all-you-need beautification services under one roof with an affordable ‘no fuss, no frills’ approach, the express beauty bar is an inner-city haven where you can take a moment to sit back, relax, and get beautiful. That’s right ladies, I am beyond besotted with Cape Town Beauty Bar and after just one visit I’m sure you will be too!
The new niche beauty boutique includes: a blow-dry & hair bar, lash & brow lounge, nail bar, tanning lounge, and a makeup station. With a glass of bubbly in hand, this girl-on-the-go concept caters for ladies looking for one spot that caters for all their beauty needs. The blow-dry & hair bar offers a range of blowouts and hair styling options for all types of hair – there’s even an ‘African Queen’ hair menu and the blow-dry bar boasts one of the top ethnic stylists in the country. I was lucky enough to be treated to a blow-dry by Cape Town Beauty Bar’s Ahmed and after just a quick 30 minutes in his chair I can honestly say this man is a genius with a hair dryer! I was beyond chuffed with my blow-dry and got so many compliments on Ahmend’s handy work. The thing I love most about getting a blow-dry at this spot is that it’s a complete pamper experience – while Ahmed was working his magic with my hair I was also treated to a magical hand massage and a glass of bubbly that left me feeling like a true princess. There’s no doubt, when it comes to the blow-dry bar I’m a Cape Town Beauty Bar convert!
As for the other services I can’t wait to try them out as well! There’s the lash & brow lounge which uses Vogue lashes and the Adele Sutton range for eyelash extensions, a nail bar offering divine manis and pedis, a tanning lounge using Vita Liberata Luxury Tan, and a makeup station where you can complete your makeover and leave the salon ready for a night out on the town. This one-stop-shop approach makes Cape Town Beauty Bar the ideal spot for hen’s parties, pre-birthday girls’ gatherings and ladies nights out. If you’re looking for a special birthday treat for a friend or family member then you can’t go wrong with gifting them some time at Cape Town Beauty Bar.
Of course, it helps when the surroundings are just as luxurious as services and Cape Town Beauty Bar is beyond glamorous. The heritage building architecture of the spot lends itself to an intriguing mix of interior design elements and Cape Town Beauty Bar’s decor is a stylish juxtaposition of up-cycled furniture and rustic décor. Exposed brick and stone walls are balanced by a majestic antique oak entrance door while double volume ceilings, exquisitely clad with wooden overhead railway sleeper beams and elegantly draped with crystal chandeliers and soft mood lighting, give the space a truly elegant atmosphere.
