Ladies, look alive because the holy grail of makeup is finally in South Africa! Urban Decay Cosmetics landed on South African shores in 2016 with stores launching in Gauteng followed by online sales through Foschini. Of course, for many months South Africans have been wondering when Cape Town would be getting its very own store. Well, ladies, the wait is over because the brand has finally announced the date of the Urban Decay Cape Town store opening (eep!). Here’s the low-down on the brand and the Urban Decay Cape Town store launch details so far.
L’Oreal South Africa announced that the first Urban Decay Cosmetics Cape Town store will be launching at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront to coincide with the arrival of the highly anticipated Naked Heat Collection in South Africa. Capetonians wanting to get a taste of the brand will want to save the date for the morning of Saturday 19 August 2017 when the V&A store is set to open its doors at 10:00.
The store will be offering a few special offers on launch day including a free deluxe All Nighter Setting Spray when you shop the entire Naked Heat Collection (limited to the first 30 customers). The store will also be running an exciting 4 for 3 deal on loads of products for the first 500 customers on the day. But wait, there’s more. Customers will also receive a UD Pro Artistry Palette valued at R1000, free when purchasing 6 eyeshadow monos and a UD Pro Brush (limited to the first 30 customers).
As for prices, the famous Urban Decay Naked palettes retail for R850 in South Africa while the much-loved Eyeshadow Primer Potion sells for R320, and the Vice Mega Matte Lipstick for R240. Want to know if the products live up to the hype and prices? And, if you’re not in Cape Town, Joburg, or Pretoria then don’t forget that you can also shop a limited collection online from Foschini.
