Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil
I’m a huge fan of this hydrating treatment from Dermalogica which aims to reinforce the skin’s protective barrier and give you a fresh, dewy-faced look. It does this by restoring your skin’s natural lipids – which are essential for a healthy protective barrier. If you’re having issues with your skin, like dryness or sensitivity, then chances are your skin’s barrier is compromised, the Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil is a great way to begin the journey of repairing that protective barrier. I love that the oil treatment is feather-light and rapidly absorbs into the skin when applied. I have dry skin so applying this oil is a treat of note! You can wear it alone or layered under foundation for all-day dewy skin. This product is especially great under foundation and can even be used as a primer every morning before applying make-up. I found that it makes my foundation look oh-so-smooth all-day, which is a real bonus!

Tweezerman x12 mag mirror
If you’re all about having perfectly groomed brows then you HAVE to get one of these Tweezerman 12x magnifying mirrors. This powerful mirror magnifies your brows and lashes enough so you can see every detail (just don’t look too hard at the fine lines around your eyes!). The mirror also has two suction cups at the back so you can stick it to a flat surface for easy hands-free tweezing. I’ve it with great success when tweezing my brows and applying false lashes (it ensures you get a natural, precise look) but it’s also great for makeup application and inserting contact lenses.

COLAB Luxe Shine Glossing Hair Fragrance
Infused with a nourishing blend of precious oils, silk extracts, and shimmering diamond dust this luxurious feather-light mist adds a touch of glam to any hair style. The COLAB Luxe Shine glossing hair fragrance is a must-have for ladies who love to keep their smelling oh-so-fabulous all day long. With notes of Cashmere and Bergamot, it’s like perfume for your hair! Along with your dry shampoo, it will be your best friend in-between washes. I’ve used it the morning after going out to a smoky bar when my hair was still technically clean and soft but reeked of cigarette smoke. It’s also a brilliant finishing spray for your hair as it gives your hair a glossy, shimmering look.

Elemis Instant Refreshing Gel
Since I love punishing my body with high-intensity exercise, like netball and SWEAT1000, I LOVE anything that can treat sore muscles and this beautifully fresh Instant Refreshing Gel from Elemis has been a game changer for me. I use it on my tired legs and feet after a netball match and massage it into my shoulders when the trainer at SWEAT1000 decided to make us do far too many pushups. With soothing extracts of Arnica, Birch and Witch Hazel and cooling Camphor and Menthol, this multi-functional gel is ideal for post-exercise muscle pain but can also be used to soothe tired legs and muscles while travelling. You can also use it on your temples and across the forehead for a relaxing effect after a stressful day.
Find the Elemis Instant Refreshing Gel at selected spas and beauty salons nationwide as well as online from Absolute Skin at R760.
Avroy Shlain Body Essense Shimmering Tissue Oil
I’m a big fan of body oils and this shimmery tissue oil from Avroy Shlain is a real spoil for ladies with dry skin. This divine oil combines a unique blend of wheat germ, avocado, evening primrose, almonds and vitamins to soothe, nourish and hydrate your skin. The oil adds a light shimmer and radiance to the skin and is a great choice to make your legs feel oh-so-soft before a night out on the town.

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Nude Collection
If you love nude eyeshadow palettes then you’ll adore this affordable, modern and versatile palette from Physicians Formula. This beautiful palette offers make-up lovers a new twist on classic nude shades with 9 beautiful shades that allow you to create a natural look that is sure to turn heads. Apply it wet or dry for two different finishes – wet for dramatic, intense colour with ultra long-lasting wear or dry for a more subtle, softer look. You can also transform each shadow into a liner when it’s wet. The shadows offer a decent pigment when applied to bare skin but really pop when they’re used on top of a great quality eyeshadow primer. I’d recommend applying the shadow wet if you want a really bold, long-lasting look. The Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Nude Collection is also a great alternative if you’re not quite ready to splash out on an Urban Decay Nude Palette.

Max Factor CC Colour Corrector Sticks
These clever products from Max Factor help to even out your skin tone to create the perfect base for foundation. There are 5 colours within the collection that help to neutralise colours in the skin so we’re better able to cover them up before applying foundation or concealers. The Max Factor CC Colour Corrector Sticks comes in a chunky stick form and help to neutralise dark spots, dull skin, redness and under eye circles. The precision crayon shape of the product makes it easy to use on smaller areas of the skin and to target specific trouble areas. The formula is super pigmented (so you know it works!) and goes onto the skin smoothly to cover any imperfections. I tried the peach pencil on the dark circles under my eyes and loved the results. A little goes a long way with this product and it really helps to avoid that dark under eye look. The range also offers a green pencil to neutralise redness, lilac to counteract dullness, and a highlighter stick to add a soft natural shimmer to the skin.
Find the Max Factor CC Colour Corrector Sticks at Clicks stores nationwide at R160 each.
Mii Perfect Finish Brush
Utterly versatile this brush is all you need to create the perfect look. Whether you’re dusting on pressed powder, warming with bronzer or finishing with highlighter or blush, the Mii Cosmetics Perfect Finish Brush is a must-have for any beauty kit. This beautifully soft and fluffy brush feels super soft on the skin and is a dream to use. If you want to take your make-up looks to a new level then I would highly recommend splurging on great quality make-up brushes like this one.

Derca Skin Renewal Serum
This advanced firming and brightening serum contains argan oil, niacinamide and peptides to promote elasticity, smooth out uneven skin, and treat pigmentation. I don’t struggle with pigmentation but I did find that this serum helps to smooth out uneven skin texture to leave skin feeling silky soft and looking great. Of course, the fact that the serum promotes elasticity also means that it’s great for combating wrinkles! This delicious serum is great for all skin types and can be used on the face, neck and decollete. The serum has a very light consistency so I found it worked best when I added a few drops to my moisturiser every night. It definitely helped to give me a little extra oomph in the hydration department – especially before bed when I needed it most!
Available online from Absolute Skin at R520 for 50ml.
