Tangle Teezer ‘The Ultimate” Hairbrush
There are hairbrushes and then there’s ‘The Ultimate’ from Tangle Teezer. By now you no doubt know that I am a huge fan of the Tangle Teezer detangling brushes and now they’ve made my life even easier with the launch of an everyday hairbrush that is proving to be the ideal encore to a beautiful style. This new palm-sized brush has been designed specifically for dry styling by delivering an expert swipe to every strand of hair. I am completely in love with this new styling tool but what makes it so different from other hairbrushes? The difference is in the unique configuration of the teeth which help to lightly detangle the hair with subtle tension, thereby eliminating tugging, tearing, and pulling. The longer teeth on this brush are designed to allow you to easily whip up a killer up-do, create the perfect ponytail, or even create plenty of volume when back brushing. I love this brush because it glides through my thick hair like no other brush I’ve ever owned. My hair knots super easily so this little wonder is my new best friend when it comes to bringing back shine and creating a sleek in the mornings and throughout the day. It’s small enough to keep in your handbag but still sturdy enough to use every day so make sure you invest in one, or five for this summer season!

Moroccanoil Texture Collection
If it’s volume and pletty of sexy texture you want then you’ve got to get your hands on the new Moroccanoil Texture Collection. The newest addition to the Moroccanoil range of products consists of three products, namely the Dry Texture Spray, Beach Wave Mousse and Texture Clay. My favourite product in the range is definitely The Beach Wave Mousse. It is an upgrade on the classic sea salt spray – with a unique salt-free formula this product provides tousled texture without dehydrating the hair or leaving a sticky residue. The mousse form also allows for greater application and styling control. Use the mousse to create waves for an effortlessly windswept look with flexible hold, while UV absorbers protect hair from sun damage and maintain colour vibrancy. The finish is beachy and textured, never dehydrated, stiff or sticky. Another winner is the dry argan-oil infused Texture Spray – this fabulous product helps to create that effortless, undone style with long-lasting hold. Use the spray as a finishing spray for styles with carefree, textured volume or use it as a prep spray to provide foundational grip needed for no-slip braids and up-dos.

L.A Girl Line Art Matte Eyeliner Pens
There are loads of great eyeliner pens on the market but this new one from L.A Girl has got to be one of my favurites. This range of eyeliner pens comes in 4 colours including Intense Black, Cobalt, White, and Esperesso. I got the chance to try the Espresso pen and loved the high intensity of the pigment! It’s a dark brown shade, almost black in appearance and it’s the perfect colour to use when creating a nude, smokey eye. The precision tip pen allows you to create precise thin lines and dramatic thick lines in one even stroke. For a thin line simply use the tip of the pen and to switch it up and create a thick line, position the tip at an angle. I also love that the formula is quick drying and smudge-proof! It dries quickly enough to avoid any silly accidents but still gives you enough time to smudge the liner if you need to. The water resistant formula provides long lasting wear and your eyes are sure to look picture perfect until you grab your makeup remover before bed time!

La Tweez Pro Illuminating Tweezer
Get perfect brows at home with the La Tweez Pro Illuminating Tweezer. This unique tweezing system is unlike any tweezer you’ve used before and features an illuminating LED light that allows for perfect, thorough tweezing every time. The hand filed tips are perfectly aligned and paired with the LED light, that illuminates your eyebrows as you tweeze, you’re guaranteed to tweeze even the toughest hairs with no fuss. Plus, the tweezer comes with a chic matching compact carrying case, with a built-in magnifying mirror for easy tweezing on the go. I loved how easy this tweezer is to use but I must say it’s the LED light that is the game changer of note. I tend to get more light, hard to see hairs around my brows and with the La Tweez Illuminating Tweezer hunting them down and plucking them out is as easy as pie.

Palladio Rice Powder
This translucent powder is made from Oryza Sativa (the refined starch found in rice) and is the perfect solution to keeping oily complexions at bay. It can be used alone or to set foundation and allow for longer-lasting makeup looks with a silky finish. In addition to eliminating oil residue, this unique powder helps to diffuse light to enhance radiance and refine texture to diminish the appearance of large pores. The light texture also prevents any caking effect on the skin and can be applied with a brush or a puff at home or on the go. I am also a huge fan of the Palladio Rice paper so I was thrilled to find that its loose powder counterpart was just as brilliant as oil absorbing sheets. I mainly use this powder for creating a perfect finish when setting my foundation but I also find it works wonders when I need to tackle my oily T-zone area.

Bodyography Triangular Shaped Brow Assist Pencil
This long-wearing, mineral based double-ended automatic brow pencil promises to allow beauties to fill and shape brows with ease. Not all of us were blessed with full, perfectly arched brows but finally, there’s a solution. To help bring brows back to their former glory Bodyography has launched Brow Assist – a triangular shaped defining tool that will whip brows into shape! According to Bodyography, what makes this one different from the next brow pencil is the teardrop shape allows the pencil to create both thicker strokes and precise thin strokes. Because brow hairs are different lengths, this uniquely designed tip helps to give the look of natural brow hairs. Use the flat side of the pencil to shape the brow and the pointed tip to define the edges creating feathery hair strokes and finally, soften the look with the attached brush. Brow Assist comes in two shades (Taupe and Brown) that are flattering for all hair colors and skin tones.
Find it at selected Placecol, Dream Nails and Perfect 10 salons countrywide at R230.
