Bake Your Way to New York in the Lancewood Cake-Off Challenge!

Do you love baking up a storm in your kitchen at home? Do your friends and family make all sorts of ooh-aah noises when they’re eating your sweet creations? It might be time to take your baking to a whole new level as local cream cheese brand, Lancewood, is looking for the crème de la crème of home bakers to enter their 2018 Cake-Off Challenge!

Using at least one Lancewood product, home-bakers are encouraged to enter their tastiest and most innovative sweet or savoury recipes. This year, the Cake-Off Challenge winner will walk away with ultimate bragging rights, as well as an all-expenses-covered trip to New York City worth R150 000.

All you have to do to win is submit your best recipe to the Lancewood Cake-Off website, including a picture of the dish alongside the Lancewood product(s) used. After that, members of the public will have the chance to vote for their favourite recipe until 3 June 2019, and the three recipes with the most votes will compete head-to-head in a cake-off live on The Expresso Show on 28 June 2018.

The judges tasked with the final decision are Cake-Off mentor and celeb judges: culinary queen, Lorna Maseko; best-selling cookbook author and TV chef, Zola Nene; and award-winning musician and restauranteur, J’Something.

Recipe submissions are open on 23 April 2018 and will run for four weeks, closing on 20 May.
