The Beginner’s Guide to Benefit Cosmetics [Review]

But then you popped into the stores, took one look at the massive product selection and the prices and broke out into a cold sweat. Yes the prices are ‘steep’ and yes there is loads to choose from so I thought I would help you navigate the almost endless amount of products with a selection of three of my favourite Benefit items that are more than worth the splurge. Keep reading and see which Benefit South Africa products are an absolute must-have in your makeup bag.
1. Benefit High Beam – R325
Angels start singing when you apply this product to your face – no seriously this little bombshell is the ultimate highlighter and is the easiest way to accentuate (or create the illusion of) beautiful cheek bones. The liquid highlighter accents cheek and brow bones for a dewy, radiant and natural glow and I could swear I looked like a supermodel when I used it.

2. Benefit Porefessional – R395
This primer is THE primer of all primers. In fact, you have not used a primer until you have tried this stuff. It quickly minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines for smoother-than-smooth skin. I couldn’t believe how velvety, smooth my skin when I used this primer – I stood in front of the mirror stroking my skin for ages (not in a weird way) before applying my makeup. The lightweight balm can be used under or over makeup and is translucent, making it perfect for all skin types.

3. They’re Real! Push-up Liner – R145 | R295
This liner is so amazing that I dream about it at night and wake up in the morning excited to use it – to put it simply it’s Cat eyes for dummies! The FIRST EVER lash-hugging gel liner in a pen, this little product is too brilliant for words. Just twist the bottom and a matte black gel-like formula will squeeze out onto the soft, rubber AccuFlex tip. Besides the smudge-proof gel, the AccuFlex tip is where the real brilliance lies in this product. It allows you to get up close and personal with your lash line and helps you draw the perfect line every time – true story.
