Out on the shore you work all day; out in the sun you slave away… So why not take a break to enjoy a musical evening under the sea with After Dark, hosted by Two Oceans Aquarium and Texx and the City? There’s so much to do in the Mother City but an intimate music concert at The Aquarium? Now that’s something special. For three nights over the next three months only, Cape Town’s famed aquarium brings music fans After Dark, an event showcasing some of South Africa’s favourite bands in a series of live music evenings right in front of the I&J Ocean Exhibit – what a treat!

In June, July and August this year, the I&J Ocean Exhibit space will transform into a comfy lounge-style setting where concert goers are invited to relax and enjoy an evening of lekker local music beneath the waves. Performances include alternative groove group Grassy Spark; Cape Town band Southern Wild; rock band AKING; Bam Bam Brown; pop artist Majozi and R&B singer Gemma Griffiths. The Drifter Brewing Company will also be onsite offering a variety of boozy delights from buchu-infused G&Ts to Pick Me Up Pale Ales.

Make sure to book your tickets to see Grassy Spark and Southern Wild on Wednesday, 25 June (visit the Facebook event page here), AKING and Bam Bam Brown on Wednesday, 25 July (for more information, click here), and Majozi and Gemma Griffiths on Wednesday 29 August (find out more about these two acts here).
