Dyson Reveals Another Landmark Haircare Tool with Dyson Corrale Hair Straightener

While we’ve barely had time to get over the brilliance of Dysons’s Supersonic Hair Dryer and Airwrap Styler, the innovative company has just dropped another hair-styling wonder into our lives with the Dyson Corrale hair straightener. This revolutionary new cordless flat iron is surely unlike any straightening tool you’ve ever used. But is it set to be yet another game-changer in the hairstyling world?

Dyson’s third hair styling product, the Dyson Corrale proves that Dyson is determined to make a name for itself well beyond vacuums and other appliances that suck and blow. While the brand’s styling products are often sold at eye-popping prices, those who have splurged on Dyson styling tools in the past claim it is well worth it. We were wowed by Dyson’s Supersonic hairdryer when we first reviewed it, so we’re quite confident that this new addition to the Dyson hairstyling range is going to be nothing short of extraordinary as well.

Designed with flexible copper plates, that work to prevent flyaways from escaping while efficiently conducting heat, the Dyson Corrale is all about preventing hair damage. The unique plates ensure that you use the styler for less time at lower temperatures, helping to prevent damage and increase shine.

The flexible plates keep the sides of the section of hair you clamp from escaping the styler as you apply pressure. When light pressure is applied the plates flex to encompass every millimetre of hair, making sure you only have to use one pass to straighten a section of hair. You can also use the styler to create waves and curls and the flexible plates are ideal to help you achieve natural-looking waves with ease.

With three different heat settings, the styler can be used on all hair types, from fine to course. The temperature is controlled and maintained with “intelligent heat control,” to make sure the styler doesn’t lose power over time.

What’s more, the styler can be used with or without a cord, making styling even easier. Not having a cord is a real win for anyone who wants to eliminate wires from their lives but having a cordless styler is of course, also a huge win for professional stylists or any styling tool power user who loves to use their styling tool on the go. The styler offers 30-minutes of cordless styling and it fully recharges in just 70 minutes. Place it in the charging dock when not in use and in-between sections to extend the cordless styling run time.

Just like its sister products in the Dyson brand, the Corrale will prove to be a wallet-busting highly covetable styling product. Coming in at $499 (about R9,000!), this isn’t a styler for bargain hunters. Dyson claims to have poured $129 million into its “Hair Laboratories” to develop the Corrale over seven years but does that justify the hefty price tag? We’ll have to leave that up to the flat iron lovers of the world to decide.

The Dyson Corrale will be available in a range of colours including dark nickel/fuschia, purple/black, and black/purple. The Dyson Supersonic and Airwrap are both available in South Africa from Clicks and @Home stores, we are yet to get news on a local launch date for the Corrale.
